UNIX tutorials for the OS X 10.1 and 10.2 versions should feature the tcsh shell so that what you learn applies to navigating Mac OS X via Terminal. OS X 10.3 and 10.4 use the bash shell. Upgrades to version 10.3.x (from an earlier version) still use the tcsh shell. Upgrades to 10.3.9 have Java glitch with download fix available from Apple.
